Lateef Adedimeji shares emotional encounter with Nkem Owoh on set

Actor Lateef Adedimeji has melted hearts after a video of him meeting veteran actor Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, surfaced online.

The clip, which Lateef shared on Instagram on Monday, showed the moment he approached the veteran on a movie set, bowed respectfully and exchanged pleasantries with him.

In the video, Nkem Owoh could be heard saying, “God know sey I go see all of una before I die,” a statement that drew emotional reactions from fans.

Lateef accompanied the post with a touching caption celebrating the screen legend.

He wrote, “It was an honour to meet the legendary Nkem Owoh @osuofia_nkemowoh on set. Working alongside such icons, whose immense talent and enduring legacy have reshaped Nollywood forever, always brings a uniquely memorable and special feeling. Sir Nkem Owoh’s impact on the industry is timeless and will never be forgotten.

“Wishing you sound health and a happy life. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for Nollywood, our great ancestor @osuofia_nkemowoh. My able Director @itsjblaze always a pleasure brother.”

Although details of the production where they met have not been made public, the video has continued to trend on social media, with many describing it as a beautiful show of respect and a touching moment between two generations of Nollywood stars.

Nkem Owoh, a respected Nollywood figure known for his comic roles, gained widespread fame for his lead performance in Osuofia in London (2003). He has since appeared in several hit movies and won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2008 for Stronger Than Pain.

Lateef Adedimeji, who began acting in 2007, is one of the most celebrated Yoruba actors.
