Actor Lateef Adedimeji has taken to Instagram to celebrate his wife, actress and producer Adebimpe Oyebade, popularly known as Mo Bimpe, after her new movie Iyawo Alhaji (The Chaos) achieved a milestone.
In a post shared on Monday, the Jagun Jagun star praised the film’s success on Mo Bimpe’s YouTube platform, Mobimpe TV. The 41-year-old proudly announced that the movie hit three million views in just seven days, becoming the first film on the channel to reach such a feat.
“Alhamdulilah, I am a proud husband and partner so, I am celebrating my beautiful wife @mo_bimpe and myself too with this incredible achievement from Mobimpe TV,” Lateef wrote.
“Iyawo Alhaji (The Chaos) has broken all records you can think of, I don’t mean my wife o, I mean the latest movie on her YouTube channel,” he added.
“It became the first movie on the channel to hit 3M views in 7 days. I’m not just happy, I’m marveled at how successful this project has been. Alhamdulilah.”
He explained that The Chaos is the sequel to the original Iyawo Alhaji and is now the most anticipated and searched movie on the channel. According to Lateef, it also became the first movie on Mobimpe TV to trend on YouTube, overtaking previous top-performing titles like The Psychopath 1, 2 & 3.
“Oya sope purrrrr,” he exclaimed in excitement. “It has shattered the records… danu danu. E gbe Oloun tobi.”
The actor ended his post by encouraging fans to visit Mo Bimpe’s channel.
The movie, which features a star-studded cast including Lateef Adedimeji himself, was created and produced by Mo Bimpe under her production banner, Oyebade Bimpe Adedimeji Productions (OBAP).
Mo Bimpe, who won Best Actress in a Leading Role (Yoruba) at the 2020 Best of Nollywood Awards, has continued to evolve as a filmmaker alongside her husband, with the couple often collaborating on set.
