Dami Marshall, daughter of Fuji legend King Wasiu Ayinde, also known as Kwam 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has denied rumours that she is romantically involved with Nigerian singer Asake.
The speculation began on social media after Dami posted a photo of herself with Asake at a recent event, captioned “Mr Money and Mrs Money”. Many users linked the caption to claims of a relationship between the two stars.
Responding to the chatter online, Dami, a legal practitioner and Senior Special Assistant on Tourism, Arts and Culture to the Lagos State Governor, clarified on Instagram that it was her first time meeting the singer and there is no romantic relationship.
“Guys, that was my first time meeting him, so I took a picture. Do not believe blogs, they can do anything for traffic. And I am not a media personality, I am a legal practitioner, currently serving as SSA to Mr Gov. Address me well next time,” she wrote.
A nightclub video showing Dami and Asake together added fuel to the rumours, prompting claims that they had “gone public with their relationship.” Dami’s statement aimed to dispel such assertions.
Asake, whose full name is Ahmed Ololade, has not commented on the rumours. He has previously ended a long‑term relationship with his Gambian girlfriend, Madame Mystique. He continues to focus on his music career and receives recognition from peers, including Wizkid, who praised his track ‘Remember’ in a 2025 interview.
