Anikulapo actress Eyiyemi Afolayan has turned 20 and her father, filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, is celebrating her with prayers for wisdom and prosperity.
Kunle on Thursday shared pictures and clips of moments with his daughter on Instagram.
He wrote in Yoruba, “Omo mi Eyiyemi!
Mo gbaa ladura pe, mi o ni fi oju sunkun e, waa dagba, waa s’orire.
Eledumare a fun e ni ogbon ati oye.
Oo ni te, Inu e a dun🙏🏾
Happy 20th birthday 🎁
I love you🫶🏾 @eyiyemi.afolayan.”
The message translates to: “My child Eyiyemi! I pray that, I will not weep over you, you will grow, you will prosper. God will give you wisdom and understanding. Your heart shall rejoice. Happy 20th birthday. I love you.”
Eyiyemi also marked the milestone on her Instagram page with photos and a heartfelt caption.

Eyiyemi, Kunle’s second daughter, played Princess Omowunmi in Anikulapo. She has expressed her ambition to become a filmmaker like her father and grandfather, Adeyemi “Ade Love” Afolayan.
In an interview, the young actress said she hopes to surpass them, noting, “I want to be a better filmmaker than my dad.”
Kunle had also explained his decision to cast her in Anikulapo, saying she got the role because of her beauty, natural acting and singing ability.
