Filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has hosted several Nollywood stars at his KAP Film Village and Resort in Igbojaiye, Oyo State, where the cast and crew of Ajosepo 2 are currently filming.

Among those present were Toyin Abraham, Timini Egbuson, Odunlade Adekola, Kayode Kasum and Ronke Oshodi-Oke.

Kunle shared slides on Instagram on Monday showing moments from a gathering he organised for filmmakers working at the location.

“Last night at KAP Film Village & Resort, I hosted a small party for some filmmakers who have been shooting here for the past 10 days.

“It was important for me to celebrate them, especially the younger creatives among the team. Our industry grows stronger when we support one another, share knowledge, and create spaces where the next generation can thrive.

“Film is not just about cameras and lights — it is about community, collaboration, and unity.
At KAP Film Village, we are building more than a location… we are building a home for African storytellers.”

Director Kayode had earlier shared a photo of himself and Kunle, describing a breakfast meeting with the filmmaker as meaningful.

“Breakfast this morning meant a lot more to me than it probably looked.

“I had breakfast with Kunle Afolayan @kunleafo at his resort. @kapfilmvillageandresort
But for me, it was a full-circle moment.”

Timini also posted clips from the location, including one in which Toyin revealed they were shooting Ajosepo.

Other actors working on the production include Mike Afolarin, Mercy Aigbe, Bolaji Ogunmola, Kamo State and Tomike Adeoye.

The first Ajosepo, directed by Kayode, was released in Nigerian cinemas in April 2024. The comedy drama follows a couple preparing for their wedding whose families gather for the ceremony, only for hidden tensions and secrets to disrupt the celebration.

The film featured Mike, Tomike, Timini, Mercy, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Yemi Solade, Bisola Aiyeola and Deyemi Okanlawon. It performed strongly at the Nigerian box office and became one of the notable Nollywood cinema releases of 2024.

Production of the sequel is ongoing at Kunle’s KAP Film Village and Resort, a facility he established to support filmmaking and training in the Nigerian film industry.
