Filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has revealed the cinema release date for his highly anticipated psychological drama Recall.
Kunle made the announcement on Instagram on Monday, sharing a poster of the movie with the date boldly displayed as April 4.
“What if the love of your life forgot you?” he wrote in the caption, hinting at the film’s emotional depth.
“Goke’s world shatters when Anita wakes up with no memory of him or their children. As he fights to restore their love, a dark secret threatens to keep them apart forever.”
Kunle first teased Recall in October 2024 when he unveiled the official trailer, promising an immersive cinematic experience.
The Lagos-set film delves into themes of memory, love and the unexpected challenges that test relationships.
The movie stars Sharon Ooja, Haitian actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, Patience Ozokwor, Bimbo Akintola, Mama Rainbow, Ekpenyong Inyang, Shan George and features a special appearance by singer Tosin Martins.
Kunle had previously collaborated with Jean-Louis on The CEO and Citation, Temi Otedola’s debut film.
While he initially kept details of Recall under wraps, he had described it as “something extraordinary,” leaving fans eager for its release.
