Prince Kpokpogri, ex-boyfriend of actress Tonto Dikeh, has criticised Nigerians celebrating the alleged marital crisis between actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, Kpokpogri wrote: “It is quite unfortunate that many Nigerians seem to take pleasure in negative news, especially when it concerns the personal lives of others.
“When Tonto and I had our differences, many people rejoiced and threw unnecessary tantrums. Today, we remain good friends and have moved past those issues.
“Now, the same attitude is being shown towards Senator Ned Nwoko and his wife, Regina. Rather than showing empathy or wishing them well, some people appear to find joy in their challenges.
“One wonders if such individuals are free from their own family problems or simply driven by envy and idle talk. Every marriage faces its own trials and misunderstandings.
“I strongly believe they will resolve their differences because Senator Ned is a good man who always prioritises his family above all else. Let us learn to support and uplift others instead of celebrating their difficult moments.”
Regina Daniels and her husband have been trending online after a video surfaced showing the actress visibly distressed. In the viral clip, she said, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing,” sparking concerns of domestic violence.
In another part of the video, she was heard saying, “Baby, what again? I cannot stand this violence. It’s too much.”
Ned Nwoko has, however, denied the allegations, blaming Regina’s alleged “drug and alcohol abuse” for their marital problems.
Kpokpogri’s reconciliation with Tonto Dikeh comes years after their messy breakup in 2021. Their relationship ended amid accusations of infidelity and leaked private audios, which dominated social media for weeks. The actress accused him of cheating and blackmail, while Kpokpogri countered with allegations of betrayal.
