Singer Kizz Daniel has denied reports that a court ordered the freezing of his personal and business bank accounts over a contract dispute.

On Wednesday, several blogs and social media posts claimed that the ‘Twe Twe’ crooner’s accounts had been frozen by court order.

Reacting to the viral reports on Instagram, the singer’s management issued a statement, describing the reports as “false and malicious narrative … with the sole aim of discrediting our Artist.”

They added: “We state unequivocally that our Artist is a professional who upholds his contractual obligations and makes extraordinary sacrifices to ensure his fans worldwide enjoy his craft.”

On the contract in question, the team said: “By virtue of the duly executed Performance Agreement dated 27th July 2022, We were engaged to perform at the Afrobeats Meets Berlin concert on 24th September 2022.”

They blamed the cancellation on the promoter, Kejuro Media & Entertainment, saying the promoter “failed woefully to fulfill its fundamental obligations under the Agreement, including the procurement of visas and flights for our Artist and his team.”

The management stressed that any rescheduling could only be entertained on new terms, insisting: “In fact, by virtue of the signed Agreement, we are entitled to full payment in the event that such cancellation is at the instance of a breach by the Promoter.”

The dispute is believed to be tied to the 2022 cancelled concert in Germany, where promoters alleged Kizz Daniel collected $50,000 and failed to refund. Although some reports claimed a German court ordered him to pay $200,000 in damages, the singer and his team insist no court has frozen his accounts.

In 2022, Kizz Daniel was arrested in Tanzania after failing to perform at a show, another incident that drew controversy about his dealings with event promoters.
