Keystone Bank Limited has commenced the 2025 Employee Volunteering Scheme (EVS) Phase 1 project in Akure, Ondo State, in partnership with the EGO Foundation.

The initiative focused on equipping women with vocational skills in baking, wig making and hair styling, liquid soap and disinfectant production, as well as makeup and gele artistry.

The week-long programme ended with a graduation ceremony where participants received starter packs to begin applying their skills.

Speaking on the project, the group head of marketing and corporate communications Izore Bamawo, said the scheme allows employees to contribute directly to community development.

“At Keystone Bank, we believe that true empowerment comes from equipping people with the right tools and opportunities to create lasting change in their lives.

“Through the EVS platform, all employees are directly involved in touching lives and building stronger communities.

“As a bank, we are committed not only to providing financial services but also to creating meaningful impact in the lives of Nigerians,” she said.

According to Keystone Bank, the EVS is a flagship corporate social responsibility initiative which has in previous years addressed education, healthcare, menstrual hygiene and community development in partnership with state governments, NGOs and other stakeholders.

The bank said the Akure project is the first phase of this year’s edition of the scheme.
