Gospel singer Kehinde Adegbodu has paid tribute to his late twin brother, Taiwo Adegbodu, following his burial.
Taiwo, one-half of the gospel music duo Adegbodu Twins, was buried on Tuesday. The final burial service and interment were held at his residence after a two-day funeral programme which included an artistes’ night on March 30 in Ibadan.
In a post shared on the duo’s official Instagram page on Wednesday, Kehinde shared a clip from the funeral and wrote:
“MY PARTNER

“DR ADEGBODU TAIWO AMOS AMOLE JP YOU CAME, YOU SAW AND YOU CONQUERED. CONTINUE TO REST IN PEACE AND ALWAYS LOOK BACK BECAUSE OF ALL THINGS YOU HANDED OVER TO ME, I PROMISE I WILL NOT DISAPPOINT YOU.
“WE’LLSURELY MEET AGAIN BUT THAT WILL BE

WELL LEGEND, REST ON AMOLE MI.!!!”
Taiwo died on March 1, sparking reactions from fans and colleagues in the gospel music community.
He was widely known alongside his brother for their work as the Adegbodu Twins, a duo that gained recognition in the Yoruba gospel music scene with songs such as ‘Faratimi (Lean on Me)’ and other worship tracks performed at churches and Christian gatherings.
Days after his death, Kehinde disclosed that his brother complained of chest pain late at night and was rushed to the hospital, where he died minutes later.
A wake had earlier been held in Ibadan as part of the funeral activities before the final burial rites on Tuesday.
