Kayode Peters to be buried in Canada

The family of filmmaker Kayode Peters, who died on June 28, has announced his funeral details.

A funeral poster for the late entertainer was shared on his official Instagram page on Friday.

The poster read:

Kayode Peters died in Toronto, three days after celebrating his 14th wedding anniversary with his wife, Alexis Peters.

On June 25, the actor had posted an anniversary message, thanking her for her prayers and support throughout his health journey.

He wrote, “Happy anniversary baby… Through thick and thin. Your prayers, your spirit, have sustained us… I love you @alexisweetness.”

The University of Lagos graduate was known for directing several comedy shows including My Flatmates, Extended Family and Being Farouk. He also directed films such as Crazy Grannies and Dream Job.

Kayode began his career in the early 2000s as a stage actor with Theatre 15 at Unilag before moving on to film and television. He later obtained a master’s degree in Film and TV Production from the University of Greenwich in the UK and a diploma in digital marketing in Canada.

His death has continued to generate reactions from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
