Kano returnee becomes Adamawa’s first coronavirus case

Fintiri

Adamawa State has joined about 20 states which have recorded at least one case of the coronavirus (COVID-19), with its index case on Wednesday.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri said the state’s index case is a Kano returnee who had earlier submitted to self-isolation.

The man is reported to have been in Adamawa a week before he tested positive.

Kano, however, had last week recorded its first death from COVID-19, with more infections discovered.
