Tinubu names Kabiru Masari APC vice-presidential candidate ‘placeholder’

Bola Tinubu

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has named Katsina politician Kabiru Masari as his running mate for the 2023 elections in ‘placeholder’ role.

A chieftain of the party Kabiru Faskari said this during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday.

The move, it is believed, is meant to beat the June 17 deadline given by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for presidential candidates to submit the names of their running mates.

Kabiru hails from Masari, a village in Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State. He is a kinsman of Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari.
