Actress Juliana Olayode has attributed her restored relationship with senior colleague Funke Akindele to divine intervention.
Juliana made this known in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where she expressed gratitude to God for bringing them back together.
The actress said she had prayed for years for their friendship to be restored after a period of estrangement.
She said, “I am so grateful to God that we are besties again. All those years, I kept saying to God in my prayers, requests that He should restore our friendship. Like, I don’t care if I don’t get to work with her on her project again. I don’t even want it; what I want is to be able to go to her house freely, laugh with her, see her, and greet her. When I wrote it to God in my prayers, it wasn’t to get back with her on Jenifa Dairy, it was just the relationship, because she has been there for me.”
Juliana rose to prominence for her role as Toyo Baby in Jenifa’s Diary, created by Funke. Her exit from the show sparked speculation about a fallout, which she later confirmed in interviews.
In previous interviews, Juliana spoke about personal struggles and misunderstandings that affected their relationship. Funke, who created the Jenifa franchise, has since expanded it into films and spin offs, maintaining her position as a leading figure in Nollywood.
