Film producer Judith Audu has praised the writing of Brenda Ogbukaa-Garuba and the performance of the late Onyeka Onwenu in the recently released film To Adaego With Love.
Audu shared her thoughts on Instagram on Friday, posting the film’s poster while commending Ogbukaa-Garuba for writing and producing the project. She also praised the performances of Bob-Manuel Udokwu and Chioma Akpotha.
She wrote, “Hello Fam,
I saw this film a few days ago and I fell in love with @chisomagoawuike and @theadamgarba ❤️ Brenda @chibrenda90 write and produced such a BEAUTIFUL Film, the entire cast was such a joy to watch and the director @amaka_creme did an amazing job!!!! To Adaego With Love, written and produced by Ogbukaa-Garuba, premiered on February 1, before opening in cinemas nationwide on February 6.
Set in 1975, the romantic drama follows a soldier and a schoolteacher from different ethnic backgrounds whose relationship unfolds in a society recovering from conflict. The film stars Chisom Agoawuike and Adam Garba alongside Chioma Akpotha, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Onyeka Onwenu, Riyo David, Demi Banwo and Tonia Chukwurah. It also features the final screen appearance of Onyeka Onwenu.
Directed by Nwamaka Chikezie, the film explores themes of love, reconciliation and personal choice against the backdrop of a country trying to heal.
