Singer Peter Okoye, member of the former music group P‑Square, told a Lagos State High Court in Ikeja that Ifeoma Okoye, wife of music executive Jude Okoye, owns 800,000 shares in Northside Music Limited, a company at the centre of an ongoing $1 million fraud case.

The testimony was given by Peter Okoye, a member of the former music group P‑Square, during the trial of his elder brother Jude Okoye. Peter is the first prosecution witness in the case.

Jude Okoye is being prosecuted alongside Northside Music Limited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He faces a four‑count charge of alleged theft exceeding $1 million. He has pleaded not guilty.

During cross‑examination by defence counsel on Friday, Peter was shown bank account statements from Northside Music Limited. He said the documents reflected the business interests of himself and his twin brother Paul Okoye.

“These statements of account belong to me and my brother. We are P‑Square. The company belongs to Peter and Paul. It was registered by him. I reported to the EFCC when I discovered funds were being diverted, and EFCC brought the matter to court,” Peter told the court.

Peter said he reported the matter to the anti‑graft agency after uncovering what he described as unauthorised diversion of funds. He confirmed that Jude Okoye’s wife owns 800,000 shares in Northside Music Limited, the company linked to the alleged fraud.

The defence team attempted to tender documents originally attached to the EFCC petition as evidence. The court rejected the documents, ruling they were not in proper legal form.

The case has been adjourned to February 20 and 27, 2026 for the continuation of the trial.
