Veteran actress Joke Silva has taken to social media to celebrate her husband, iconic actor Olu Jacobs, on his 83rd birthday.
The 63-year-old posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram on Friday, sharing a video compilation of cherished moments with her husband, whom she fondly referred to as “Sir J.”

Olu Jacobs, born Oludotun Jacobs, is regarded as one of the pillars of Nigerian theatre and cinema. With a career spanning over five decades, he has featured in numerous stage productions and films, both locally and internationally. He has also been celebrated for his contributions to the growth of Nollywood alongside his wife, Joke Silva.
The couple, who got married in 1989, have long been admired for their enduring love and partnership, often hailed as one of Nollywood’s most respected unions.
In recent years, Joke Silva has publicly spoken about Jacobs’ health challenges, including his battle with dementia with Lewy bodies, but continues to honour and support him through his twilight years.
