Johnson Suleman reacts to Trump’s comment on Christian killings, says he has spoken since 2014

Founder of Omega Fire Ministries Apostle Johnson Suleman has reacted to claims that Christian leaders are silent on alleged killings of Christians in Nigeria.

His reaction followed a recent statement by United States President Donald Trump, who accused the Nigerian government of allowing the persecution of Christians in the country.

President Trump also warned that the United States might step in to address Nigeria’s security challenges if the situation continues.

In a video shared on his official X page Apostle Suleman said he and other preachers had been accused of keeping quiet about the killings.

He, however, stated that he had been speaking on the issue since 2014.

“I’ve been speaking since 2014. That’s what I’m known for,” Suleman said, stressing that his record shows consistent advocacy on insecurity and violence in the country.

Responding to claims that both Christians and Muslims are victims of the attacks, Suleman said such comparisons were misplaced.

“Nobody should say Christians are not just the ones dying, Muslims are also dying. Are you not ashamed?” he asked.

The preacher maintained that regardless of the religious identity of victims, the focus should be on ending the bloodshed.

“The truth is that there are killings, and the killings must stop,” he said.

Johnson Suleman also criticised the government’s handling of the security situation.

According to him, the scale of the crisis has overwhelmed the authorities.

“The government has no capacity to handle it. It’s beyond them,” he added.
