Jail time left me depressed – Ceeza Milli

Singer Ceeza Milli has spoken about how a period in jail affected his life and wellbeing.

In an interview on Yanga FM Lagos, the ‘Dangbana Orisa’ singer, whose real name is Ifeanyi Bosnah, said time in a Nigerian prison led to a period of depression and has continued to affect his health.

“I went through a depressive stage, I went to jail. I suffered in Nigerian prison,” Ceeza Milli said.

He did not give details about why he was jailed but said the experience was difficult and long lasting. He said he is now focused on improving his wellbeing and losing weight for health reasons. Ceeza Milli also dismissed suggestions that he was responding to online criticism.

He also spoke about his career and his relationship with fellow artist Wizkid, saying the Grammy‑winning star gave him opportunities that helped his family. “Wizkid tried for me, he gave me collaborations that made me feed my family,” he said.

Ceeza Milli has been in the Nigerian music industry for several years. He gained attention with hit songs and has worked with several notable artistes.
