Filmmaker Jade Osiberu has announced the birth of her first child.
She shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, revealing that she gave birth on August 8, 2025.
In her post, Osiberu wrote: “My life changed forever with a heart emoji. God said in your 40th year, I will complete you. God really does make all things beautiful in his time.
“I have been on many journeys in my life but the journey to becoming a mother has been the most humbling and life defining. God has shown me so much mercy and favor. To say I feel seen and loved by God would be an understatement. I feel like his favorite child.”
She also announced the name of her baby as Moraraoluwa Jaiyeoba and added a prayer: “May the Lord bless you, may the Lord keep you. May the Lord make you wise, may He show you which way to go and watch over you. May the Lord grant you favour and give you peace. May the Lord be happy with you and may you rest in His love. He will sing and be joyful about you.”
Osiberu is a leading figure in Nollywood and the founder of Greoh Studios.
She is known for films such as Isoken, Brotherhood and Gangs of Lagos, which marked her feature debut as a director. She has also produced the Sugar Rush film series and worked on several other film and television projects.
The filmmaker turned 40 in August.
