Singer Martins Justice, popularly known as J. Martins, has announced the death of his mother.
She died in the early hours of Sunday.
The 48-year-old shared the sad news on his Instagram page, expressing gratitude to God for the life his mother lived.
“Oh give thanks unto the Lord. For he is good and His mercies endureth forever. The Lord gave. The Lord has taken. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen,” he wrote.
J. Martins also requested prayers for himself and his siblings during this difficult time, thanking fans and well-wishers in advance for their support.
While her name is not publicly known, the singer has often spoken about his mother’s profound influence on his musical journey.
As a choir mistress, she exposed him to music from an early age.
Following the announcement, fans and celebrities flooded his comment section with messages of condolence and support.
