Actress Iyabo Ojo has warned actor Baba Ijesha that she may take new legal action after remarks he made about her children in a recent interview.
The comment came up during an episode of the Talk to B podcast hosted by actress Biola Adebayo. In the interview on Sunday, Baba Ijesha said Iyabo Ojo once left her children in his care. He made the statement while denying that he is a pedophile, referring to allegations of sexual misconduct made against him in 2021.
Iyabo Ojo, who had strongly opposed Baba Ijesha during his trial, responded on her Instagram story. She described his claim about her children as false and said he should not involve them in his narrative.
She wrote: “The court found you guilty based on evidence, so please don’t drag my children into this else I would direct my counsel to serve you appropriate papers.”
Baba Ijesha, whose real name is Olanrewaju James, was convicted in 2022 by a Lagos court for sexual assault of a minor and sentenced to five years in prison. The conviction was upheld on appeal, and he completed his sentence and was released in late 2025. The court affirmed his guilt based on evidence presented during the trial.
The Talk to B interview has drawn widespread attention on social media. Some members of the public criticised Adebayo for giving Baba Ijesha a platform after his conviction, and many users have challenged his account of events.
