Actress Iyabo Ojo has reacted to a show of support from Toyin Abraham for her film The Return of Arinzo.
Toyin had on Friday shared a poster of the movie and urged fans to see it in cinemas.
She wrote, “The Return of Arinzo is now showing in all cinemas, pls go out and support🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰”
Responding, Iyabo thanked her colleague, writing, “Thank you my darling sister.”
The exchange comes shortly after a moment involving Toyin and Funke Akindele at Iyabo’s movie premiere sparked reactions online, with a video of their interaction circulating widely.
Iyabo later issued a statement addressing the controversy and criticism from fans who accused her of taking sides. She said she had made efforts in the past to reconcile both actresses and advised that disagreements should be handled privately.
She also explained that tensions resurfaced after Toyin raised concerns about her film’s performance, which drew in fans and reignited the issue.
The actress added that she would no longer involve herself in mediating between both parties and asked fans to respect her decision.
Despite the situation, Iyabo maintained that she remains on good terms with both Toyin and Funke and will continue to support their work.
