Actress Iyabo Ojo has showered her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, with prayers during a baby shower held in Toronto, Canada.
In a video shared online, the 46-year-old declared blessings over her daughter and unborn grandchild while addressing those who may wish them harm.
“This pregnancy is God’s blessing and God’s blessing cannot be hidden. Priscy, live your life without fear because God is with you,” she said.
“Whoever wishes evil for another person’s child will be the one to experience it. For every justice that I have fought, as long as I stand on that ground that I fought it because I know I had to do it for that man, woman or child, let them gather for evil. With God, they shall scatter.
“It is only if I have ever collected a dime or I have a different interest apart from the fact that I fought for justice for the girl that was molested and the boy that d!ed who we wanted to know the k!ller and those that bull!ed him. All the evil gatherings over me shall scatter.”
Iyabo also prayed that her daughter’s marriage would succeed, unlike hers which ended years ago.
“If mine didn’t work, yours will work. For I have paid that sacrifice for yours to work. You will grow old with your husband… and you will be with your children,” she added.
The baby shower, attended by close friends and family members, featured dancing and emotional moments between mother and daughter. Priscilla, who now lives in Canada, got married to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux earlier this year.
The couple are expecting their first child together.
Iyabo, who flew to Canada earlier in July, had revealed she was preparing to care for her daughter after delivery as part of the traditional Igbo practice known as omugwo.
