General Overseer of Grace Nation Worldwide Chris Okafor says he has never committed a crime sinve he was born amid sexual allegations made against him.
The cleric’s ex-wife Bessem and actress Doris Ogala had accused the pastor of sexual misconduct.
Speaking to journalists at his church in Ojodu, Lagos, Pastor Okafor said he has no criminal record.
“I have never committed a crime since I was born. I have travelled to more than 46 nations. I have no criminal record anywhere,” he said.
Okafor also accused the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) of failing to conduct an investigation into the allegations.
According to him, the police invited him for questioning over claims circulating online.
He said he did not respond to the first invitation after learning that journalists were waiting to interview him on the day he was asked to appear.
Chris Okafor said he later visited the police office on another day and met with a deputy commissioner of police.
“They said I was invited because of the things they saw online,” he said.
He also questioned why the police did not invite those who made the allegations before asking him to appear.
According to him, the police later informed him that the case had been suspended because there was no evidence and no complainant had come forward.
