Actress Regina Chukwu has said she has been struggling with depression since she heard of the death of her colleague Allwell Ademola.
Regina made the comment on Monday while sharing a video clip of Allwell Ademola on a movie set.
In her post, she wrote:
“Its hard. So hard. But its finally a wrap for ALLWELL. I have been battling depression since I heard that devastating news 😢 that I think its best for me to accept that its finally A WRAP for my big teddy (I HAVE NOT LEFT MY ROOM SINCE THEN). ALLWELL ITS WELL 🙏.
“This was you on the set of AARIN, we had plans, you couldn’t even wait to see the good job we did In LEGAL WIFE. ITS WELL O. JOURNEY WELL ENIOBANKE.”
Allwell Ademola, an actress and producer, died on Saturday, December 27. She was found unwell at her home in Lagos and taken to Ancilla Hospital in Agege, where she was later pronounced dead.
Her family later released a statement confirming she was 49 years old. They described her as a dedicated actor, singer, filmmaker, and producer, and thanked colleagues, friends, and fans for their support and condolences.
Allwell’s death drew widespread reactions from colleagues across the Nigerian film industry. Many expressed shock and sadness online, describing her passing as a heavy loss for Nollywood.
