Rapper Blaqbonez has said he would not mind being in an open marriage.

The 29-year-old, born Emeka Akumefule, made the statement while speaking on the In My Opinion podcast.

According to him, sexual activity usually reduces in marriages, adding that it is okay if his partner gets intimate with someone else when he is not around.

“Most married couples, you don’t keep having same amount of sex you were having at the beginning. It will reduce,” he said.

“If somebody is satisfying her sexually while I’m hustling, touring, I’m not available to be getting intimate with her all the time. That is okay. There’s more to marriage than sex.”

The ‘Back in Uni’ crooner added that he would not feel threatened if his wife slept with another man because no one could replace the connection he builds with his partner.

“It will be difficult for a random person to just come and match up with what I have put in there,” he said.

“Nobody is just going to get her sexually and also mentally addicted to them. They probably can’t make her laugh the way I do.”

Blaqbonez further stated that if he eventually gets married, he and his wife would have separate rooms and only meet when necessary.

“If I’m even going to get married, I need two rooms. Me and my wife will only meet when we want to have intimacy,” he said.

Blaqbonez has in previous interviews described monogamy as “unrealistic,” insisting that he does not believe in exclusive relationships.

The rapper, who is signed to Chocolate City, is known for his controversial takes on love.
