Music executive Don Jazzy has said he is not capable of being in a relationship with just one woman.
The Mavin Records founder made the statement while speaking on The Nancy Isime Show.
“I don’t believe that I am strong enough to be with [only] one person. I think. People will run away from me being truthful. I will not be dating you and telling you that you’re the only person,” he said.
The 42-year-old added that unlike some people who only have eyes for their partners, he is still able to admire other women even while in a relationship.
“Some people have the strength to be attracted to somebody [and no one else afterwards]. But for me, the fact that you’re a beautiful lady doesn’t stop me from admiring another woman. She is also beautiful,” he added.
Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Ajereh, was briefly married to UK-based writer Michelle Jackson in 2003.
He revealed in 2021 that the marriage ended two years later because he chose music over family life.
In 2012, the music producer launched Mavin Records after parting ways with his former business partner D’Banj and co-founder of Mo’ Hits Records.
He has since signed several successful artistes including Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon, Ladipoe and Johnny Drille.
Don Jazzy’s statement has sparked conversations online, with some social media users applauding his honesty and others criticising his views on relationships.
Some even compared his opinion to that of singer 2Baba who admitted in an interview that men are wired to have multiple sex partners even if they love their partner.
The singer later apologised after his comments drew backlash.
