I’m in talking stage with another footballer’s girlfriend – Ola Aina

Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has said he is “in a talking stage” with the partner of another footballer.

Aina, 29, made the comment while appearing on Channel 4.0’s Savage Kids & Agony Aunties, where he sought advice from children and older adults about what he described as a dilemma.

The former Chelsea player said, “My dilemma is I’m in a talking stage with another baller’s girl.”

When asked who the other footballer is, he said, “Can’t disclose that one.” He added that the pair had been talking for a few weeks.

The panel asked more questions, with Aina saying he believes “she likes me back.”

A member of the children’s panel then asked whether it had occurred to him that she might be a “clout chaser,” to which Aina reacted with surprise before saying he could “easily” take the child one one-on-one. He also said, “I believe she likes me more.”

The “Aunties” on the show advised him to “own up to the guy” and “be honest.”

One of the children told him, “Me personally, I think she’s only there for your money. You’re a professional footballer, you’re earning bread, plenty more girls will come. She’s on a permanent sin bin off the pitch, red card.”

Both sides tried to convince Aina to follow their advice, and he eventually chose the guidance offered by the Aunties.

Aina is expected to travel with Nigeria for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations but is currently an injury doubt. He last played for Nottingham Forest on August 31 before suffering a hamstring injury.

He sustained the injury during the opening minutes of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa in September.

“Ola Aina is getting close to fitness, but obviously can’t be with us until January,” Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche said earlier in the week.
