I’m happy to see you, Ooni of Ife bonds with first son Tadenikawo

Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi

Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi was seen bonding with his first son, Tadenikawo, in a video shared online on Sunday.

In the clip, the monarch interacted with the boy while his aunt, Simi, asked if he wanted to go with his mother, Naomi Silekunola.

The Ooni encouraged him to bid her farewell.

“Say bye bye to your aunty. You’ll say bye bye to your mummy and later you’ll see your mummy when you go home,” he told the boy, prompting him to say his mother’s full name.

“Bye bye to Silekunola,” Tadenikawo responded.

Another video showed the young prince kneeling before his father while holding his staff as the Ooni prayed for him.

The monarch prayed for long life, success and good health.

“As I saw you today, I’m happy, my heart is filled with joy,” the Ooni said during the prayer.

Tadenikawo was born on November 18, 2020, to the Ooni and his ex-wife, Naomi, who announced their separation in December 2021.

Following their split, Oba Ogunwusi married multiple wives, including Mariam Anako, Elizabeth Akinmuda, Tobi Phillips and Ashley Folasade.
