Actress Anita Joseph has knocked politician Ned Nwoko for allegedly intimidating his wife, Regina Daniels’ family.
On her Instagram page on Friday, Anita noted that she is not one to interfere in couples’ matters but would not stay silent in Regina’s case.
She questioned why Ned was allegedly bullying his wife’s family and asked if he had left room for reconciliation.
Calling for the release of Regina’s brother, Samuel “Sammy West” Daniels, who has reportedly been in police custody, Anita reminded Ned that marriage is not by force.
“I no dey put mouth for hùsband and wife matter, but, you see this one eh e no nice at all. Only in Nigeria that this will happen. Why are you bullying your wife’s family? Did you even leave room for reconciliation? Free Sammy now! If Regina wants out, then let her be. Marriage isn’t by force, Shallom,” she wrote.
“This is not fair at all. Wetin happened? Why the bullying? How come no one in the government is taking action? Even at this moment the Lord will not forsake @regina.daniels. God got you, my Darlyn Gina,” Anita added.
FFK’s ex-wife Precious Chikwendu also reacted, questioning where the Actors Guild of Nigeria and those Regina has helped were. She said the actress is too young to be going through such and described Ned’s alleged actions as narcissistic and vicious.
Singer Jaywon, on his part, criticised Regina’s inner circle, saying her recent posts reflect a lack of maturity and self-awareness.
Others like Charly Boy, Mercy Johnson, Mercy Aigbe, Yvonne Jegede, and Ruth Kadiri have also spoken on the issue, urging for calm and justice.
Regina recently broke down in tears in a viral video, lamenting the continued detention of her brother and saying she might return to her husband if that would bring peace to her family.
Meanwhile, a petition on Change.org demanding the release of Sammy and an investigation into Ned Nwoko’s alleged abuse of power has gathered over 34,000 signatures.
