I’d won BBNaija Season 4 if I wasn’t disqualified – Tacha

Former Big Brother Naija Season 4 housemate Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has said she would have won the show if not for her disqualification.

Speaking on the Hot Takes podcast, Tacha said she was confident of victory because she survived eviction more than any other housemate.

“I knew I was going to win. The fact that the other housemates were always putting me up for eviction… In the history of Big Brother Naija, no housemate has stood for eviction as much as I have stood up for. I was up for eleven possible evictions.

“But the fact that I kept bouncing back, I knew I had massive supporters outside,” she said.

Tacha was disqualified from the reality TV show on September 27, 2019, after a heated clash with fellow housemate Mercy Eke. She was sent packing for physical violence, including pushing and pulling Mercy’s hair, which violated house rules.

Her disqualification paved the way for Mercy to make history as the first female winner of Big Brother Naija.

Mercy secured 41.77 percent of the final votes, defeating runner-up Mike Edwards to clinch the N60 million prize.

Reflecting later on the incident, Tacha admitted it was one of her lowest points but added that she had moved on and built a successful career despite the stigma of disqualification.
