Actor Ibrahim Chatta has expressed excitement over meeting his younger colleague Tobi Bakre for the first time.
Ibrahim shared a video of their meeting on Instagram on Sunday.
The clip showed the moment Ibrahim alighted from a car as Tobi rushed to greet him, almost kneeling before the older actor asked him to stand.
“I have been longing to meet you,” Ibrahim told him. Tobi replied, “Me too, I have been asking when you will come on set. It is a pleasure.”
In his caption, Ibrahim praised Tobi’s humility and talent while thanking Funke Akindele for creating the opportunity.
“I finally met with @tobibakre. This dude is exceptionally gifted yet well cultured and humble👌🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Yeye Olufunke @funkejenifaakindele thanks for putting me together with this amazing personality #BTS Behind The Scene is coming ooo✌🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote.
Chatta, 54, is known for his roles in Yoruba movies such as Aiyekooto.
Tobi, 30, rose to fame after participating in Big Brother Naija season three in 2018 and has since built a career in acting.
