Filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan has said that actor and performer Ibrahim Chatta contributed the chants and many of the songs used in the upcoming movie Colours of Fire.
Akinmolayan made the remark on Sunday during the film’s premiere.
Addressing the audience, he said: “Every time I work with uncle Ibrahim, it’s always a wealth of knowledge. I remember I asked him when I was doing the research for the story, you know, we’re going back and forth, you know, what are the things that, you know, the people of Oshogbo, what are they known for? What is their new plan? You know, he came up with all those chants and some of the songs that were used in the film. Always ready to push culture anywhere he goes. Thank you very much uncle Ibrahim.”
Colours of Fire is written and directed by Akinmolayan and is scheduled to be released in cinemas nationwide on December 24.
