I won’t stop dancing and praising God – Ademola Adeleke

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has said he will continue to dance and praise God, emphasising that his hobby does not interfere with his official duties.

Speaking in an interview with Channels Television on Wednesday night, Governor Adeleke stated, “I will keep dancing because I love to dance and I love to praise my God, that doesn’t change anything, I still do my work. Everybody has their way of relaxing and a hobby. My hobby is dancing. That does not affect my work.”

His remarks follow comments from First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, who had recently cautioned the governor from singing during her installation as Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodu’a in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Ademola Adeleke, who recently left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the Accord Party, also emerged as the party’s governorship candidate for the August 8, 2026 election.

In the primary held on Wednesday in Osogbo, he was the only aspirant and secured 145 out of 150 votes cast by delegates from the state’s 30 local government areas.

The governor’s declaration highlights his approach to balancing personal expression with public office, even as he prepares for the upcoming election.
