Actor and skit maker Lege Miami has explained why he was removed from a video montage made to celebrate Seyi Tinubu’s 40th birthday.
In a clip shared online, the entertainer, whose real name is Adams Kehind,e said his inability to speak fluent English caused his exclusion from the birthday documentary.
“I am responsible for my predicament, because I am the one who doesn’t speak good English,” he said. “If I speak good English, Seyi Tinubu will include me among people who speak good English and are rich.”
Lege added that Seyi’s team came to his house to record his goodwill message but later took it out of the final video.
“They brought camera to my house, they recorded me, and I wished Seyi Tinubu a happy birthday. Seyi’s aides, we know ourselves in the same group, and Seyi removed me from the documentary, but it’s not Seyi’s fault, don’t blame him,” he said.
“Seyi is a good friend, however, if I were to be a good English speaker or I package myself well on social media, they will include me.”
Lege also begged people to stop tagging him over the matter.
“Stop tagging me, it’s unbearable. Is it Seyi that’s responsible for my inability to speak good English? Because I couldn’t speak good English, Seyi refused to add my video to the post. Seyi is not responsible, I caused it myself,” he added.
The comic actor, who described Seyi as his “paddy” and “the president’s son”, said he holds no grudge over the decision.
Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, marked his 40th birthday on October 13 with a lavish celebration attended by politicians, businessmen and entertainers.
Clips of messages from public figures including Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Olamide and other celebrities, sparked discussions online after Lege’s absence was noticed.
