Actress Chacha Eke has hinted at another separation from her husband and movie director Austin Faani, as she opened up about painful personal struggles.
In a now-deleted Instagram post on Wednesday, the 37-year-old revealed that she has endured profound losses, including the sudden death of her parents, the death of a child and the collapse of a relationship she once believed would last forever.
“I’ve watched the life I built fall apart in front of me and still got up the next morning to keep going,” she wrote.
“I’ve lost my parents suddenly to death, I’ve said goodbye to the man I thought I’d grow old with. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
Chacha emphasised that love without respect cannot endure and despite facing heartbreak, disappointment and heavy responsibilities, she has managed to survive and even triumph.
This isn’t the first time the actress has spoken publicly about her marital challenges.
In June 2022, she announced the end of her marriage, stating, “Many have died pretending all is well while wishing, hoping, and praying for a better tomorrow. I don’t want to ‘die’ or go inexplicably missing.”
Following that announcement, Chacha later clarified that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, a mental health condition that had affected her perception of her husband and strained their relationship.
She said her earlier public outburst and decision to leave Austin were influenced by a mental health episode.
Chacha and Austin got married in 2013 and share four children.
