Former Big Brother Naija housemate Angel Smith has said she regrets taking part in the reality TV show.
The 26-year-old made the comments in a recent question-and-answer session on her social media, where she spoke openly with her followers about her experience after leaving the show.
When asked if she regretted joining BBNaija, Angel responded, “Hell yeah.” She explained that the constant attention and loss of privacy were difficult for her to handle. “Everyone always in my business,” she added.
Reflecting on why she decided to enter the programme, Angel admitted she did not have a strong reason at the time, adding, “Omo nothing o, idk who sent me message sef.”
Angel first rose to public attention as a contestant on the Shine Ya Eye season of Big Brother Naija and later appeared in the All Stars edition. Her time on the shows boosted her profile and led to various opportunities in entertainment and media.
This is not the first time Angel has spoken about mixed feelings around her participation in the show. In earlier interviews, she described being misunderstood by some fans who reacted to her social media posts and online comments. “I think I am the most misunderstood,” she said, explaining how online reactions sometimes turned negative and overwhelming.
Despite those challenges, she also acknowledged that BBNaija gave her a platform that raised her public profile and opened doors in her career. She wrote on social media, “Almost a year since I stepped on that stage and I’m grateful they gave me the platform.”
