I Go Save knocks Nigerians celebrating cancellation of Burna Boy’s US shows

I Go Save

Comedian I Go Save has criticised Nigerians who are rejoicing over the cancellation of Burna Boy’s concerts in the United States.

The 46-year-old expressed his displeasure in an Instagram Story after promoters announced that two of the singer’s shows in Chicago and Minneapolis had been cancelled due to low ticket sales.

He wrote:
“Burna concert kick out might be wrong or right depending on the sides you stand on!
But same sinners pushing and celebrating a man’s source of daily bread cancellation is witchcraft! I thought your pastors teach about forgiveness every Sunday?
The fact you hate somebody doesn’t stop God’s blessings. Meanwhile you still celebrate your political oppressors. This generation and bad belle na 5 & 6!”

I Go Save added that celebrating another person’s downfall shows negative energy, urging Nigerians to learn to support their own even when they disagree with them.

Burna Boy has been under fire following backlash from a recent incident in the US where he stopped his performance to call out a female fan in the front row who appeared to be asleep. The woman later said she was grieving the death of her child’s father, a revelation that intensified criticism against the Grammy winner and triggered online calls for a boycott.

Reports from US entertainment outlets say promoters recorded unusually low ticket sales for some of the singer’s remaining tour dates, leading to the cancellation of multiple shows.
