I fear for Ann’s safety, Regina Daniels blames Ned Nwoko for friend’s arrest

Actress Regina Daniels has expressed concern for the safety of her close friend, Ann, following her arrest amid an ongoing dispute with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

In a social media statement on Tuesday, Regina questioned the circumstances surrounding the arrest.

“My dearest best friend was arrested yesterday. Which makes me wonder: what exactly is the problem with my ex? I hate to believe or further promote the idea of the Nigerian police force’s lack of credibility. I fear for Ann’s safety as all of these are not being done legally,” she wrote.

Regina added:
“How did a case of domestic violence get overshadowed by drug addiction and now theft? Now that I took a bold step to clear that without fighting him, he comes up with theft? You have lived the best part of your life—why do you want mine to revolve around chaos? Sen Ned Nwoko, after eventually beating your theft allegations, what else do you have up your sleeve or your red cap? Does this give you climax?”

The arrest is part of a broader dispute between Regina and Nwoko. The actress said there is a warrant for her and family members, including her brother Sammy West, over alleged theft of $40,000 from Nwoko’s home, claims she denies. Regina insists the allegation is false, noting that Nwoko does not keep cash at home.

Her brother was previously detained over related allegations, including criminal conspiracy and theft, before being granted bail. The conflict became public in late 2025 after Regina alleged domestic violence. Nwoko has denied the claims and accused her of substance abuse, which she also denies.

As of now, police have not released an official statement on Ann’s arrest or the charges she faces.
