I don’t want Regina Daniels back in my house – Ned Nwoko

Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko

Senator representing Delta North Ned Nwoko has denied claims that he is seeking reconciliation with his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels.

Regina had alleged that the senator was sending his family members to plead with her while also calling her out on social media.

Her colleague, Doris Ogala, also made a post on Instagram supporting the claim.

In a statement issued by his communication team on Tuesday, Senator Nwoko said he has not been chatting with Regina and does not want her back in his house.

The statement read, “Senator Ned Nwoko is not chatting with Regina and does not want her back in the house. All he is insisting on is that she should be encouraged to go to therapy.”

He said Regina’s allegations of drugs and sex against him are false. Nwoko attributed her posts online to the influence of hard drugs.

“It is important to state that Regina continues to be completely under the influence of hard drugs and whatever she says are lies. For example, the allegations of drugs and sex are a figment of her imagination and can never be substantiated.”

The communication team cited what it described as the senator’s last documented communication to Regina, containing his frustration and an ultimatum that she return to rehabilitation or he would stop funding her lifestyle.

The statement said Regina became violent after receiving the message, destroying cars and other property.

Nwoko also referenced a video Regina posted online showing him in the bathroom. He said he was shocked the clip was shared on social media.

He stated that Regina had made progress with rehabilitation until her birthday, after which she allegedly engaged in hard drugs with friends for four days at a hotel in Wuse 2.

He accused Regina of staying under the influence of drugs and stated that anyone concerned about her or her children should encourage her to go for therapy.

The statement included the WhatsApp message Nwoko said he sent to Regina on October 17.

In the message, he expressed concern about her lifestyle, her late-night activities with friends and the effect of the situation on his health.

He told her he would no longer fund her lifestyle until she completed rehabilitation.

According to the statement, the message was sent because it had become difficult to communicate with Regina at the time.

The statement added that Regina’s behaviour worsened after her birthday celebration, which included four days of alleged drug use and incidents involving police and other guests.

Ned Nwoko’s team said the priority is to ensure Regina returns to therapy or rehabilitation for the sake of their two children.
