I don’t know if my children are alive, Judy Austin’s estranged husband cries out again

Yul Edochie's second wife Judy Austin

Emmanuel Obasi, the estranged husband of actress Judy Austin, has once again taken to social media to express pain over being denied access to his children for over 10 years.

Obasi, who was married to Judy before her relationship with actor Yul Edochie, said in an emotional video that he does not know if his children are alive or dead because Judy has allegedly kept them away from him.

“I am in pain, I don’t know if my children with Judy Austin are still alive,” he said.

“She has kept them away from me for over 10 years. I haven’t seen them. I haven’t spoken to them.”

This is the second time Obasi is making such a public plea. In July 2024, he accused Judy of denying him access to their children after she left him to be with Yul Edochie. He also claimed he trained her through school and supported her ambitions before she became a movie producer.

Obasi said he had made several attempts to contact Judy to see their children, but she blocked all communication. He appealed to Nigerians and human rights organisations to help him reconnect with his children, saying he feared for their safety.

Judy welcomed two sons and her third child with Yul this year, making headlines after the actor confirmed their relationship while still married to his first wife, May Edochie.

Yul, who married May in 2004, came under heavy criticism when he introduced Judy as his second wife. The revelation strained his relationship with May, who later distanced herself from the actor and focused on her children.

As of the time of filing this report, Judy and Yul are yet to respond to Obasi’s latest outcry.
