Gospel singer Busola Oke, popularly known as Eleyele, broke down in tears during a live video on social media, sharing her struggles in the music industry.
In the video, Busola expressed frustration over financial pressures and the challenges of sustaining her career. “How can you eat when there’s no food? How can you drive when there’s no car? How can you be at peace when there’s no peace?” she asked.
“To my fans, I’m sorry. I never planned to do this, but I can’t take this anymore. I’m done. Good music doesn’t sell anymore,” she said.
The live broadcast drew messages of support from fans and fellow musicians, who urged her to remain hopeful and take care of her wellbeing. Many reminded her of her contributions to gospel music and encouraged her to seek professional help if needed.
Busola gained fame with songs such as ‘Eleyele,’ ‘Ogo Tuntun’, ‘Asoro Ma Tase’ and ‘Adaba’, which blend spiritual messages with inspiration for listeners.
