Award winning Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to a public request by a teenager identified as Anu Adeleke, who asked him to undergo a DNA test to confirm that he is her biological father.
The 33-year-old addressed the issue in a series of posts shared on X on Thursday, where he dismissed the request and said the matter had already been resolved through previous DNA tests.
Davido stated that he never had a personal relationship with the teenager’s mother beyond participation in the DNA testing process. According to him, several DNA tests were carried out at different medical facilities, including hospitals chosen by both parties, and all the results showed that he is not the teenager’s father. He added that he would not engage further on the issue.
He tweeted, “Go and look for your father.”
“Never met the bitch … except when went For the DNA … very stupid behavior I will soon treat their FK … 5 fucking hospitals just to be clear .. the mom needs to go to jail … I don’t blame the poor girl ..”
“Yes I chose 3 hospitals and they chose their own two hospitals .. all came out Negative .. this is the last time I’m speaking on this nonsense.”
In a leaked chat shared by Anu, the singer said in parts, “I am not your father. I’m sorry you are not an Adeleke.”
Davido’s response followed a social media post by Anu, who publicly appealed to him to agree to another DNA test to establish her identity. In a post shared on Instagram on Thursday, the teenager reflected on her childhood, personal struggles, and academic achievements as she entered her teenage years.
She disclosed that she faced bullying from a young age after telling classmates that Davido was her father. She said the experience caused emotional distress and required professional support. Despite the challenges, she said she performed well academically, became a class prefect, and remains focused on her education.
The teenager explained that her request for another DNA test was personal and driven by a desire for clarity as she grows older, stressing that it was not influenced by family members.
Davido has, in the past, publicly acknowledged paternity of some of his children after DNA confirmation. He has also maintained that he does not shy away from DNA tests when questions arise, insisting that scientific results should settle such issues.
