Actor Uzor Arukwe has addressed rumours linking him romantically with married colleague Bambam amid speculation about her marriage.
In an interview with BBC Igbo, he said he first met the actress on the set of their film Love In Every Word.
He explained that he is careful when filming scenes with colleagues and always asks for consent before any physical contact, especially when the co-actor is married.
He said, “I met BamBam for the first time when we shot that movie and before filming, I was always ask my co-lead actor if it is okay to touch them in a certain way, especially the married ones because I don’t want them to have problems at home”
“But People Started Saying We Slept Together And Were Dating, Which Was Completely False,” he added.
This is not the first time Uzor has responded to claims about him and the actress.
Amid rumours that Bambam and her husband Teddy A were having marital issues, a user on X alleged that Teddy A divorced Bambam after discovering she was pregnant with Uzor’s child and that he found out through a leaked private chat.
Reacting at the time, Uzor said he would make the person responsible for the allegation a scapegoat so that others would learn to respect boundaries and stop chasing clout at the expense of people’s reputation.
Speculation about Bambam and Teddy A’s marriage gained attention on social media after users noticed that the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram. Some users also claimed that Teddy A had deleted photos of Bambam from his page.
Bambam, whose real name is Bamike Adenibuyan, married Teddy A, born Tope Adenibuyan, in 2019 after they met on the reality show Big Brother Naija.
The couple have two children together.
