Actor Pete Edochie has said six politicians who came to his home seeking his prayers before the 2023 general elections all went on to win their contests.
He made the remarks in Enugu State while receiving streamer Peller, who paid him a courtesy visit. Pete recalled that the politicians arrived with gifts and asked for his spiritual support before the polls.
“Two years ago, six people that were running for political offices came to my house, they brought me a big ram and Kolanuts, I prayed for them and they all won their elections,” he said.
The actor expressed gratitude to God, adding, “Each time I make a request from God, he always grants it. All the people I have prayed for have all succeeded in everything I have prayed for them for.”
During the visit, he also prayed for Peller and wished him success in his career.
Pete recently highlighted the rising cost of living and unreliable electricity in Nigeria. He revealed that he spends about N40,000 daily to maintain power in his home, covering electricity units and fuel for generators.
“I spend about ₦10,000 every day buying electricity units. Then I spend ₦20,000 on diesel to power the generator and another ₦10,000 on petrol for a smaller generator,” he said, noting that the situation affects many households across the country.
Born in 1947, Edochie is one of Nigeria’s most experienced actors, known for his role in Things Fall Apart and his long-standing contribution to Nollywood.
