Founder of Streams of Joy International Pastor Jerry Eze has recalled how he was rejected by a girl he admired during his senior secondary school days.
Speaking during a recent sermon, the 43-year-old said the incident happened during an essay competition he attended.
According to him, he passed a letter to the girl expressing his feelings in what he described as a Christian way.
“This was my senior secondary school days. We went for an essay competition and then I wrote a letter and passed it. Before we left the letter returned back to me. I wrote my own with Jesus. You know you have to find something, ‘I love you with the love of God. The love I have for you is pure’,” he told the congregation.
Eze said the girl responded that she was not interested in such a relationship at the time.
“When the letter returned back to me, I saw ‘I don’t have time for such thing,’” he added.
He is widely known for his online prayer programme New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), which attracts millions of participants from Nigeria and abroad.
Pastor Jerry Eze has been married to Eno Jerry since March 17, 2007.
Their union is blessed with two children, Samara and Jerry Jr.
