How I remain relevant after BBNaija – Mercy Eke

Mercy Eke Big Brother Naija 2019 winner

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Mercy Eke has explained how she has maintained her presence in Nigeria’s entertainment industry years after winning Big Brother Naija Season 4.

In an interview, Mercy said that consistency, focus, and hard work have helped her stay in the public eye.

“I am still relevant because I put in the work. I have never turned down any money,” she said in the interview with Odira Ndubuaku.

“I mind my business a lot. I work hard. I wake up with purpose. Some people wake up and don’t have things to do, but I always have a clear picture of what to do every day.”

Mercy first became a household name when she won Big Brother Naija in 2019, becoming the first woman to win the reality TV show since it began.

Since then, she has expanded her career beyond reality television. She launched MNM Luxury, a fashion brand, and later founded Lambo Homes, a real estate company. She has also worked as a brand ambassador for several companies and appeared in Nollywood films, including Fate of Alakada (2020).

In 2023, Mercy returned to the Big Brother Naija franchise by competing in the BBNaija All Stars edition, finishing as first runner-up.
