Priscilla Ojo, daughter of actress Iyabo Ojo, has opened up about the dramatic turn her childbirth journey took.
In a post on Snapchat on Monday, the 24-year-old recounted how her stylish plans for the big day were quickly sidelined when labour pains hit in the early hours.
“We had to rush to the hospital at 3 a.m.! Contractions aren’t a joke. All plans to slay at the hospital and film content were cancelled,” she revealed.
She also shared that her baby boy, Rakeem Mkambala, made an early entrance, missing his due date, which happened to fall on his father’s birthday.
“Me: Rakeem, your due date is the same as Papa.
Rakeem: Please, this woman, I want my day alone.
#juma_jux sorry, my love, your son wants to shine alone,” she joked.
Priscilla Ojo and her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, announced their pregnancy on July 24 on Instagram, months after their lavish wedding. They later revealed they were expecting a baby boy at a gender reveal party in Tanzania.
Before the birth, Priscilla was celebrated with a baby shower in Canada, attended by close family and friends, including her mother, Iyabo Ojo and actress Lola Alao. The couple earlier tied the knot in a lavish, multi-phase wedding ceremony spanning Nigeria and Tanzania between February and May.
