Resident pastor of House on the Rock, Port Harcourt, Lanre Oluseye, has remarried nine years after losing his wife.

The clergyman tied the knot with his heartthrob, Kate Oluseye, on Saturday in a ceremony held at the Rock Cathedral in Lekki, Lagos. The wedding was officiated by the church’s senior pastor, Paul Adefarasin.

The moment marked a new beginning for the couple, who were surrounded by friends, family and members of the House on the Rock community.

Ahead of his wedding, the pastor had celebrated Kate on her birthday with a heartfelt message and a photo of her on Instagram.

He wrote on Instagram:
“Kind and principled
Simple and sophisticated
Exciting and calm, all at the same time
Easygoing and full of wisdom
Uncomplicated elegance….
Happy birthday to one of the strongest women I know….
You will never know a better yesterday….
Welcome to the best days of your life….
Yesssss…… the countdown is on…….

“Have a splendid birthday dearest Kate..
Honestly can’t wait…………lol…. Yes, it’s me in the picture in the background…. Don’t spoil your phone trying to enlarge the picture……🤣🤣🤣”

The couple’s wedding has drawn warm congratulations from members of the Christian community, with many describing it as a testimony of healing, hope and God’s faithfulness.

Nine years ago, Pastor Lanre lost his beloved wife, Tolu Oluseye, who died in July 2015.

At the time, her death was described as sudden and it left a deep void in the lives of her family and the church congregation.

Despite the loss, Pastor Seye continued to serve with passion and faith, ministering to his flock in Port Harcourt while also raising their children.
